Happy April! Passion Week is here! My hope is to be more intentional and contemplative in thought this week. I may just subscribe to those text alerts that help me to follow along with the events in the life of Jesus of Nazareth this week. Is anyone else doing that this season?
March marked a year since discontinuing my ten-year course of Tamoxifen. All seems okay with my body, but I do miss my oncologist, Dr. Garg. He was always a bright spot in my journey and felt like a good friend since 2011. I hope that he always knows that what he does matters so much!
Last weekend, we got to enjoy another Bosom Buddies Charities Ball. It is always such a well-organized event and special evening out for us. This time we got to share it with our friends Wendy and Mark of Stitches of Kindness. I hope Wendy always knows that what she does matters so much!
As I reflected on attending the evening, I am so thankful for all the connections Pinked Perspective has been able to make with so many survivors and organizations in our community who share the mission to lighten the weight of a breast cancer journey. We have loved being able lock arms with Bosom Buddies Charities to support our local Pink Warriors! ~ Kara
Pinked Update:
The Breast Cancer Kit requests continue to flood our inbox. Sometimes we hear back from our recipients, and it is heartwarming to say the very least. Two messages in particular touched me this week, and I wanted to share them with all of you that follow us in support of the mission we are privileged to carry out. I hope you always know that what you do matters so much! It certainly keeps me inspired to keep up the work of getting these kits packed and ready to go. Speaking of that….we could really use a group to host a kit assembly in the month of April. Please message us if you would be interested in hosting!
