I am big on visual reminders. I have always said that I would hope the memory of what we went through would not fade (okay well some of it is welcome to fade). But all the love we were shown, the way God carried us through, the fact that we can’t control everything, and the urgency to never take anything in this life for granted-these are the parts that I hope are permanently ingrained in us. And yes, Greg and Caroline, I have thought about a tattoo. {my friends, Greg and Caroline are spending these 31 Days writing about Truth or Dare with today’s Dare being about getting a tattoo.} I believe my reasons for getting one would be completely justified and God-honoring, but at this point I think I have heard pretty clearly that I am not supposed to go through with it. Or maybe I am just a big chicken.
When thinking of what kind of design I might want, I asked one of my long-time friends, Joey who also happens to be a really talented artist if he would come up with something that would appropriately represent my journey. I could not have asked for a more perfect design. Then, my sweet and also extremely talented friend, Valerie of Exclamation Communications, Inc. then put it all together so it could serve as Pinked Perspective’s new logo.
I really love it! It will always mean a lot that these two shared their art with me and offered me a visual reminder that Jesus is always present in the struggle. I just have to have the eyes to see Him.
Just curious, what do you see first when you look at the design?
Greg says
I see a tattoo.
🙂
Love you dearly.
